Tayla Wilesmith is a highly experienced experience designer, delivery manager, and user researcher with over 12 years of expertise leading large-scale digital transformation programs across State and Federal Government. Her work spans complex service ecosystems, where she applies a multidisciplinary toolkit—life-centred design, design thinking, and design futures—to create agile, sustainable, and user-focused solutions. 

Tayla’s strength lies in bridging delivery excellence with deep research insight—ensuring that digital solutions are not only functional and scalable but grounded in the lived experience of users. 

She brings a systems-level view to her work, enabling government teams to respond intelligently to current challenges while designing with the future in mind. Tayla has led initiatives for agencies including Services Australia, the Department of Health and Aged Care, Defence, Finance, Education, Industry, and the Australian Cyber Security Centre, among others. 

Tayla holds a Master of Design Futures, a Bachelor of Business, a Diploma in Project Management, and is a certified Scrum Master. She is currently deepening her focus on sustainability through postgraduate study in Sustainable Agriculture—reflecting her commitment to future-ready, impact-driven design.
