Specialist in Human-Centred Research and Inclusive Systems Reform
Skylen is an experienced human-centred researcher and service design specialist with deep expertise in co-designing services and systems that are inclusive, ethical, and impactful—particularly for individuals and communities often marginalised by mainstream systems. Her practice is grounded in qualitative research, trauma-informed methods, and large-scale digital transformation.
Skylen has led high-impact work across mental health, aged care, Indigenous health, disability, carers, and employment services. She brings clarity and empathy to complexity, translating deep user insights into strategic reforms that drive meaningful change in both policy and service delivery.
Her recent work includes mapping the end-to-end aged care system to support legislative reform, co-designing a digital mental health quality framework, and developing user-informed recommendations for the Carer’s Gateway and trauma-informed care models. She is particularly skilled at creating psychologically safe spaces for participants and synthesising research into actionable outcomes.
With strong experience in agile, cross-functional environments, Skylen builds bridges between lived experience and government priorities—crafting digital blueprints, journey maps, and service models that align with real-world needs.
She holds a Master of Arts and is recognised for her thoughtful, ethical approach and commitment to designing services that are inclusive, grounded, and scalable.
