In an increasingly dynamic and interconnected world, effective regulation must go beyond prescription. At ThinkPlaceX, we design regulatory frameworks that are responsive, inclusive, and adaptive – grounded in the realities of those who are governed by and protected through regulation.
Our approach balances policy intent with lived experience, drawing on behavioural insight, systems thinking, and co-design to create smarter, more resilient regulation. We work with regulators to prevent, detect, deter, and respond to non-compliance – choosing the right interventions based on intent, capability, and context.

- Responsive Regulation: We design regulatory frameworks that are flexible, tailored to the context and actions of those being regulated, and effective within the policy context. We draw on contemporary regulatory theories, including Braithwaite’s Responsive Regulation 2.0 and Malcolm Sparrow’s choice-making philosophy.
- Regulatory Posture Reviews: We facilitate assessments that help regulators understand their current state and adapt strategies to enhance compliance and effectiveness.
- AI-Supported Regulation: We help regulators integrate data and AI into their systems safely and ethically, using intelligence to better monitor, predict and respond to regulatory challenges.
